Ski

Today was the most exciting day during the winter break. Me and my family went skiing to YONG PYUNG skiing resort. First we packed our bagages for 2-days schedule. Then me and my brother rushed outside to borrow a ski for today and tommorow. I could tell my brother was also very excited because he forgot to wear his socks before he put his shoes in. When we were prepared and everything, we went on sky lift to take us up on the slope. Now that I was at the top, I took a deep breath and SHOOSH~ The feeling I had during the short ride was unexplainable. I dont know but I think it was a mixture of thrill, and trepidation. I drew an A sign with my feet to stop at the end. The moment I finally stopped, it was just AWESOME.

battle of the labryinth

Battle of the labryinth (Book 4 of Percy Jakson series)
By Rick Riodran
Rating: *****

I finished the book Battle of the labryinth almost 1 month ago. I guess I didn't blog about books too much and forgot about it. Anyway, since I have the whole time to myself, I thought I might just post about the book now.
As I mentioned above, this book is the 4th book of Percy Jakson series. I've done a blog post about the 3rd one, the Titan's curse, so you might know what this is about. But for other people, this book is about greek mythology. There are gods, and olympus. Some of you might know about this because well, greek gods are famously known around the world even to the western side. Anyway, there is our hero Percy. He is a son of Poseidon, who is the sea god. In this book, he and his friends; Annabeth, Grover and his half-brother cyclops, Tyson. Together they plunge themselves into the darkness of the Labryinth, which is a maze that can never be solved. In the journey, they meet the wild god, Pan, and they manage to hold off the attack of the mighty Titans, but there are more and more coming endlessly.
My favorite part of this book is when Percy fights the telekhies, who are sea demons. In this part, he uses the power from his father, and brings up a huge tidal wave to the demons and destroy them. Here every telekhies dissolve into nothing, (by the way, when monsters get killed, they discinegrate). This was so cool because this was like about the 1st time he actually used his most powerful ability, which explained him passing out for a week.
